FS: Catz H.i.d. 4300k H4 kit
That's right, I'm selling my hid kit. Perfect plug and play for H4 halogen headlamps, virtually no glare, and d.o.t. approved. This is one of the best kits out there and is used for oem equipment in Japan. Used maybe 2 years, in great working condition, bulbs should last another 5 years before shifting to blue color. One of a kind kit not sold anywhere and hard to find. The color temp is 4300k, pure white.
This is the HI/LOW kit meaning flip on your hi beams and bulbs move back in the housing to shine farther away. Retail price when they used to be sold was around $680. I am selling mine for $350 shipped. These are excellent hids, but I need the money since I don't get paid in august. Comes complete with box, instructions, and all hardware for install.

I'll go as low as $315 shipped but I need at least that much. That's less than 1/2 of what they're worth if you could even buy em anymore.

But I think you mean you can get oem hids from a different car, in which case they are useless without buying everything else and spending the time to do a retrofit. And I'm sure my kit will still be brighter than what you make because they are in a halogen reflector. Goodbye.
Lol...
Your 4th picture shows all of the glare that comes off those lights and I guarantee that my A6 projectors are at least 3 times brighter than the catz and mine spreads over the road much better. Plus I thought that the catz kit was recalled along with all of the other HID kits that were sold which makes those illegal. They do not make those kits anymore and there is no warranty. Plus OEM will always outlast the kits. It is not hard to put OEM into our car. All you need is a relay harness and your set. I am using Lexus/denso ballasts in my car with a custom relay harness and Osram d2s bulbs.
Just read somewhere....
The Catz kit has been banned from the US and Canada so they will not ship out any parts from the Catz factory in Japan in case anything breaks with the ballasts or bulbs. They were told to cease and desist any sales of kits and replacement parts as they are illegal items. They would get fined $10k per item if they were to get caught. This is enforced by the NHTSA. The Catz kit does not use normal d2s/d2r bulbs. They use special rebased bulbs that are made for that kit. The only place to find these kits is probably ebay. Read this....http://hidplanet.com/forums/viewtopi...ighlight=nhtsa
The reason why I say this is because this is very dangerous to other drivers on the road.

ohhh
Sorry about that. You can go on hidforum.com and look in the sale area. You can sometimes find a good deal on there and its OEM. I got a set of maxima ballasts with new osram 4500k bulbs for 225. A few days ago I saw a set of bmw ballasts with bulbs for $150 shipped. All you would need is a harness and you are set. There are instructions on there to do the whole retrofit like retrofitting the projector into the headlight and how to make the harness. Its not that bad. I have 2 sets of retrofitted lights. One set of lights with A6 projectors which I am using now and a set of e46 projectors. Both look great.

OWNED!-my kit is d.o.t. approved. And what glare in the fourth pic? My car is on the left or did you miss where I said that. You need to educate yourself a bit more before you talk. Anyway, I'm not selling these to you so don't worry.

I hate to disappoint you again, but your pathetic attempt to ruin my sale has failed. I'm selling these tomorrow for $300. Oh and you're wrong again. The catz say d2s right on the bulb. Danger to other drivers? I've seen factory hids that are alot more dangerous than mine are. I haven't been pulled over once or flashed by other drivers because they look stock. end of story.

Hey you know what since you're sooo smart you should know that even a retrofit is illegal on a civic because it didn't come like that from the factory. Good try tho. Only a few cars using reflector based hid? lets see, toyota echo, nissan-z, various acura models, nissan maxima, cadillac, and many more brands and models of trucks and suvs. Why don't you just leave because its obvious you don't know what you're saying. Yes the catz does use true d2s you would see that if you had the bulb in front of you and yes they sell replacement bulbs everywhere for it. Only the kit sale is illegal not bulbs otherwise how do you think oem cars would get replacements. Think before you type.

Notice the glare you are getting. Compare that pic to someone with a "real" retrofit. Your cutoff picture on the wall shows numerous hotspots and uneven light spread on the road. If you are going to do a retrofit, do it the right way and install projectors into the lights. Reflector based HID is the cheap and crappy way out of lighting. Notice how most manufacturers out there who used to use reflector based HID went to projectors, IE acura, lexus, mercedes. There are only a few new cars out there who are using reflector based HID.

scizod, we allowed you on to this forum because you needed a retrofit. You bought one, you are satisfied with it, and now you bash on gearbox's sale? Have fun in banned land or shape up and shut up.
