Insurance FYI!
Call me an idiot but I was unaware that you had to buy "extra insurance for the accessories that are on your car(ground effects, rims, etc.) in order to get reimbursed for it if something is stolen or the car is totaled like in my case! Full coverage insurance only covers the entire car in its factory condition! Like I said I feel stupid that I've been driving for 4 years now and I did not know that but I want to pass this on to others before it happens to them! Get insurance on the accesories, it's worth it!

well here's the thing.
often times, depending on what you have, the aftermarket parts cost less than the OEM parts. what you need is a cooperative body shop.
Let's say I have a CF hood, Cold Air Intake, and j's replica front bumper and I get hit in the front of the car. my oem parts get damaged as well as those 3 aftermarket components.
when your body shop does up the estimate, it's all for OEM parts since your insurance company will only cover oem parts. however, this will include a new OEM hood, bumper, and intake. your aftermarket hood, bumper, and intake, will cost less than the oem, so chances are for a small fee, the body shop will install those parts for you and you might even still end up with money left over, since insurance cuts you a check for the estimate amount.
