Legal lights and tint
I am trying to find out for sure what is legal with under glow in Ontario.
I have red led under glow with no light through the front as well as my bulbs are not visable.
Is it legal to drive with them on? And if so is there anything in writing that will prove this?
Also I have tint on my windshield at the bottom as well as the top. Nothing is obstructive and it is not much. The company that put it on said it was legal because there is a 35cm viewing area from top tp bottom, is this the case and if so where can I find this in writing? I have read the tint laws and I do not see anything that talks about the lower part of the windshield.

There's no actual law that governs under car neon lights....Providing they are mounted properly and safely. The only problem I can foresee is if the lights flash, strobe, blink, or change colours. Flashing/strobbing coloured lights indicate emergency/city vehicles... so you will not get away with that.
It all depends on your area. I know here in London people drive around with Blue, Red, Yellow, Green, etc... under body neons right by cops and they don't do squat. But somewhere like in Toronto, they might not be as forgiving.

I dont know about canada, but I do know that in the US there are laws against "Unnecessary decorative lights" on the exterior of the car. anything not used for safety purposes is illegal, include hidden neons under the car. I would assume you have something similiar there.
Just find a cop and ask. I loved asking a cop if its legal to have my dvd screen up only playing a cd. his reaction was pure frustration since i had a dvd player but he couldnt bust me for it
. now i watch movies and stuff but I have a switch in my kick panel that you cant even see so if i get pulled i can lie about it not bein hooked up yet.
