I think thats a little too skinny. I'm looking to buy 18's soon too. Does anybody know if 225/40's are too wide for Neuspeed Sport Springs (1.5R 1.75F)? I think maybe rjowsock has had some 205/40/19's or something, if I'm not mistaking.

yes they do make 205/40/18 but most 18" rims on the market have an 7.5"-8" width which 205 wouldnt be a good choice to mount them with. if you live in area where roads are rough, goodluck on survivng with 18s and 205 tire.
205/40/18 would easily kill wheel gap, but you can most likely see the rim popping out asking for more rubber and sidewall

if any one has them, post a pic
^it depends on how wide the rims are. by mounting on a 205/40/18 sized tire on a 8" wide rim, its bound to damage your rim(s) as you drive over rough road conditions as the sidewall isnt "thick" enough or too much rim is showing as its popping out (stated above). im not saying its impossible, its just uncessary to go with a 205mm width tire for such wide rim.
and not all 18 rims are 8" wide. im pretty sure you can find some that have a 7.5" or even 7" width and it'd be fine.
heres a civic with 205/40/18 member claims to have that size but idk... http://www.cardomain.com/id/jerome212005
eclipse with 205/40/18 (not good shot tho) http://www.geocities.com/itsallbasics/

If anyone else has pics, please post...........thanks in advance.
Since it is not a real common size, you won't have a big selection. Tire Rack only lists Michelin Pilot Sports and Dunlops, no Kumho or any of the less expensive stuff. 21540R18 doesn't have a lot either, I went with BFG GForce KDW. 2153518's are way more readily available in several manufacturer lines.
