For awhile untill i did my study about octane booster(.7 or .4) i thought it raised the octane rateing by 1 whole octane level, not 1pt or 4pts or 7pts. So if you put 91 octane in a 15 gallon tank, and the octane boost says it raises the octane level 4pts or 7 pts(depending on the booster) meaning you have 91.7 octane rateing. What is the point of this? Why the hell sell octane booster if it only raises the octane level by pts? Can someone provide more informations on this. Because so far to me its not really worth it. Does this mean you have to buy 2 bottles of 7pt octane booster to raise the octane level to 1.4. Can someone give some info on this? Whats the point?

you really shouldn't use anything other than 87 octane on your civic unless you're using FI or higher compression.

It is such a small gain for what you pay, I would just get the higher octanes from the gas pumps.

Here in okc im best off dumping 8 bottles in to 1 tank. they are slowly getting rid of 93 oct pumps
