I asked someone who's done the swap about the prop valve, and they never switched it.... you may be fine. But I'll look at it more tomorrow... I have a set of discs in my trunk

RSXs uses a valve that's slightly front biased, but not as much as the EX/Si.
The proportional valve should only cost around $40-$90 USD.
you can get away with not switching proportional valve if you already ABS on your car. So in your case where the proportional and the ABS module is the same unit, you can just save money by not changing it.
according the Majestic Honda, the 05 US Civic EX still have a standalone proportional valve. FYI, the valve is located near the axle of the car on the same side as your master cylinder, bolted onto the frame. Its easier to access it from the bottom.

my rear disc conversion with my ABS works perfectly fine.
the 3 channel abs system that we have works fine...
it works like this
1. front left
2. front right
3. rear left and right
my abs kicks in perfectly. trust me, just converting to 4 disc has a better stopping feel, there is no more jerking when stopping...

Viper, to be totally honest, I don't think you need to worry about it, I've tried pounding the brakes pretty hard and honestly it feels more balanced with the discs than the drums ever did. I'd swap em, and see what happens, just make sure to reuse your stock ABS sensors, worst comes to worst, you can put an adjustable prop valve in.

because the distribution and bias for braking on the non-ABS car is pretty different.
i did the rear brake conversion 2yrs ago and i still havent had no problem with any of the sensors master/wheel cylinders or any crap like that.
i dont see what the big deal is about
CHANGE THOSE POS DRUMS!!!!!!!

hmm. I did this a long time ago and never changed the proportioning valve. I have thought about it a few times though. I drive an 01 lx w/o ABS. My brakes feel pretty decent (not right now, bad rotors) most of the time. In the snow/wet the lock up fairly evenly. I am not sure how much difference I would notice if I swithced to tha Acura EL proportioning vavle??
