Rattling - replace exhaust hangers?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can shed some light. I have been experiencing this rattle from what I believe to be right now the back muffler part of my car. I have a Tsudo catback exhaust and the rattling noise it produces is very irritating at times. I've been told that sometimes it has something to do with the exhaust hangers....what exactly should I do? replace them?

I have the same problem, and I can't stand it. It seems like it only rattles when I make a left turn. I think I just need to move the hagers up a little bit. If you figure out the cure please share the info with me...lol

Im gonna bump this, someone has to know. Any help is appreciated. This is definitely an unsolved mystery for me. If I had the money I would say 'F' it and by a whole new catback exhaust but why if its a simple fix?

The metal part of the exhaust hanger are connected to a rubber hanger. First thing you gotta do is find the source of the rattle. Get under your car and give it a good shaking and listen and look for where it might be rubbing. Once you find the rattle, you can then determine what needs to be done. Or, go to a muffler shop and ask if they can put it up on the rack and check for you. Slip them 20 bucks and I bet they'll hook you up.

i have similar problem. my muffler tip keeps bumpin against my rear lip. i think if i were to get diff rubber hangers so it would sit lower, it wouldn;t bump against it any more. but i like the clean and flush angle of it.

but i do have aproblem with my muffler swinging around over rough roads. idk what i can do about that? its no vibration, but a rattle/bumping

my muffler is making the same rattle, but when I push it to the right it goes away for a little and comes back again. I think it's hitting the sway bar.

i have a greddy cat-back it makes a noise when it gets wet from rain. it's sounds like a grunt from where it bolts to the cat or something not quite a rattle i re-tightend the bolts and shook the heck out of it. yet when it rains it gets LOUD. dunno what to do other then park it when it rains

if you had it custom made for the car at a shop there can weld beads inside muffler that make that noise.

Also, on my custom exhaust one of the hangers appeared to welded good but when I move the exhaust from side to side rapidly with force there was part of the hanger that was free enought to make contact with the muffler and make a rattle sound. I had a shop throw a couple tack welds and was good. A five bill fix.

i just figured out that part of my piping on my exhaust is rattling against the bottom of the car. i thought it was the cat against the heatshield since i noticed a couple rub marks on it. but i looked a little further down and i saw where it was hitting. i dont know if longer rubber hangers will help or if i have to have it custom bent. it kind of sucks because it should fit right out of the box!

And all this time I thought the rattling was probably my mesh in my back fender of my kit, but now that i look back on it the rattling didnt start till shortly after i got my exhaust... Im gonna peek my head under there sometime this weekend and see what is causing all the ruckus
