Well in this race im not involved in it, but My friend who has a 2.0 golf 5 speed thinks he's the **** and that his car is unbeatable (even though i beat him in my 4 door LX) so anyways we are cruising through downtown and this kid with a H22 prelude is at a light and my friend revs his engine at him.... The light finally turns green and they both take off.... SURPRISINGLY my friend beats him by at least 3 cars, and now he is bragging about it all the time... i keep telling him that the guy in the prelude didnt take u seriously or is a really bad driver but he keeps denying it and saying Honda's dont got sh*t....

Now you tell me if my non vtec 1.7L could beat his golf then shouldnt the H22 destroy him... Personally i think the guy in the prelude was a bad driver, because it seemed like he was takin it seriously but still lost...

It could have been a F22 Prelude, which year/style was it? But either case, the 2.0 Golf should have lost.... 2.0 5 speed Golfs only get like 95WHP.

I ran a golf 5spd with intake, full exhaust and a chip in the lx and I still beat him by a good bus, the 'lude should have killed him... if he keeps talkin ish, just smack him, then beat him in the four door vic again

p.s. they weight like 3000lbs that's damn heavy

I've raced my friends 2.0 golf (auto) in my Civic Ex (w/ cai)auto sereral times
and I beat him every race by a bus length(off the line/from a roll)
Seriously those cars aren't fast at all even if it is 5sp

2.0's suck.

The prelude was broken or not racing. Even the pathetic F22 prelude should give a 2.slow a run for its money. The only time a civic should worry is if the civic was auto, and the golf a 5-speed. Even then, it's close.


Tell your golf friend he's making me and other 'dubbers look bad. He needs to realize his place.

2.0 + aftermarket turbo (~10 psi) = STOCK 1.8T / VR6
