Smoked by a bird
I passed this ford thunderbird the other day, I guess he didint like it, cause 5 seconds after i pulled back into the lane he just blew by me like I was standing still. Is thier a list somewhere of the cars that we can smoke. I whanna know what mods I have to do on my 2003 Civic Si in order to smoke a 1990 Thunderbird SC, keep in mind that those things are sick, the 1989 model got motortrends car of the year.

in other words, you need to start practicing your driving skills my friend.
ahhhh!!! another person that has no idea how to drive their EP3, I have smoked 3 "birds" (one for money) in my lx much less the Si... u should have put at least a bus on him. good driving is the best mod u can do to any car and its free!!!
yeah wait. its gotta be a canadian si because they don't make red EP3s.... is there some kind of crazy fast "bird" that they make in canada cause the ones that they made here were sloooow even the ones with 5.sl0w liter motor in it
The Thunderbird came with a 5.0l motor but was restricted hp and torque. The SC wasnt that great either. I kill em all the time. But car isnt stock so I wouldnt know how a non stock Bird would do. Id seen some at the track but they werent that impressing hitting high 13's
I ran a 5.0 t bird with full exhaust and headers for $50 in the LX from a line and still beat him by a car and a half, then again from a 40 roll and got about 2 1/2 cars on him that time, all I can say is that he was not the least bit happy and he didn't pay up... he was like there's no way I woulda ran u if I had the slightest inclination that I was gonna lose... asstard

You would rather work on your signature for three hours, put in a fake boost gauge, paint your hood black, or add some hello kitty to your interior. You can also drop 10 g's into your engine, it probly wont go as fast as mine did stock. Its not the civic's fault they get made fun of, its yours. Wrx's & Thunderbird SC's own.

The Thunderbird SuperCoupes respond really well to mods just like any supercharged car. I still wouldnt mind owning one.
I had a 1993 Thunderbird LX with the 5.0L V8. My best time was 15.2 in the 1/4mile with just a homemade CAI. Durable cars that are comfortable as hell.

Ok lemme clear sum stuff out.. The S/C Thunderbirds did not come with a 5.0 engine but a 3.8 engine and it was a v6
Power Plant:
The Super Coupe's comes equipped with a 3.8 liter V-6 powerplant that is force-fed with an Eaton Corporation supercharger. The 8.2 to 1 compression ratio, combined with six computer controlled sequentially fuel injectors, completes the well rounded underhood package. While running at a maximum 15,600 rpm's, the supercharger provides 12 psi of boost and as a resultant it develops 210 bhp at 4000 engine rpm's. The engine develops 315 lb-ft of torque at 2600 rpm. The supercharged V-6 delivers ample power without much noise but an underdrive kit and a performance chip are available to boost the horsepower rating to 255 bhp.
Acceleration:
0-100 ft: 3.2
0-500 ft: 8.6
0-1320 ft (1/4 mi); 15.9 @ 88.5 mph
Time to speed, sec
0-30 mph: 2.5
0-40 mph: 3.8
0-50 mph: 5.5
0-60 mph: 7.4
0-70 mph: 10.4
0-80 mph: 13.1
0-90 mph: 16.4
0-100 mph: 20.8
Quarter Mile times for "Box Stock" Thunderbird SC 's:
With Automatic Transmission: They run between 15.7 to 16.0 seconds at around 86-88 mph.
With Manual Transmission: They run between 15.4 to 15.7 seconds at around 88-90 mph.

I "hand there *** to them"... it's really sad that they have 210hp and 315fpt and still run 15.9 in the 1/4th. those cars have zero top end and are definatly POS's it takes them 10.4 secs to get from 70-100 which is slow as hell
