Vtec problem....

oook im a long time honda owner first time vtec owner my pride is my 91 hatch w/b18a my sister just moved away last summer to the city and didnt want to sell her car so i took over payments on her 02 ex its auto and in good shape i started driving it in winter and was curious about vtec...i felt nothing... so now its starting to get warm out i start messing with it...reading vtec forums and stuff like that...i check all wires and finially i get somthing...at full throttle as soon as 20mph comes around i hear it....so good....but now heres my problem...at first it happened everytime....now it does it when it wants to....like at 6500 it will pop on right b4 the gear is up...and it will stutter on and off and its noticible...and im stumped...i read all the forums and unless i missed somthing...i have no clue...maby the solonoid? does anyone know? or is it normal and im just a dumbass...????

vtec in 01-05 civic's is ****. Its like this... With old vtec you could say, Ohhh wait till my vtec kicks in, I'll romp you. No you could say, ohhh wait till my vtec kicks in! I'll save 5 miles to the gallon and save the planet!
