all those having reception problems, how dark is your window tinting?
are those who are having massive problems tinted darker than those who are having only partial problems?
if you are tinted kinda light but have massive problems, do you have metallic flake tint?

I thought all pioneer decks got am, did you read the owners manual to make sure you just arent aware of how to tune in am? (jvc or pioneer)

Make sure that if your car has the powered Antenna wire, the yellow/green, you connect it. If it is an 02+ It should have the wire that needs to be powered.
my FM worked perfectly, it was the AM that sucked, and only worked when i was in the city of the broadcast station. like WIP610 is in Philly, i only got it when i was there, down in south jersey it didn't work at all. my stuff is installed perfectly and the AM just doesn't have a strong signal...thats about it.

Normally, with just the Antenna plugged in but not powered, you would get most FM stations, but usually none of the AM ones.

there was this (not sure if it really is) TSB about radios not getting AM. It said something about a person cant swap a sedan HU into a coupe and get AM b/c the coupe doesnt power antenna while the sedan does..... I'm not exactly sure if thats the case.... but there was a posting on here years ago.

i thought it was sorta weird because i always thought the sedan also had the amplified rear window antenna...does the sedan antenna get its power from somewhere other than the deck?
