Auto Vic vs Eclipse 5 spd

Auto Vic vs Eclipse 5 spd Coming home from the girlfriends tonight. Havent had anything worth posting latley. Havent been in much of a race except some messing around with an Si, and a V6 camaro which i'll tell you about at the end. The Si had a horrible driver because from a roll he started out in front, and i took off and i was actually pulling on him and i have an AUTO. I pull up to light, he says 'damn dude that thing is quick!'....i laughed knowing he was a horrible driver and said i had an automatic transmission to just make him think how bad of a driver he was.
Anyways, tonight i was coming home from the girlfriends. I am behind a buick which turns when the light turns green, and next to it at the front of the line is a white, late model eclipse with a BIG *** exhaust, though sounded alright not like a fart can, and interesting fast and furious type graphics. 2 people in it, its a 5 spd. Anyways he doesnt know i'm there untill i drive by him and glide holding at ~50 mph. I love messing with my transmission, and yeah i know it'll be the end of it........again....but i popped it in 2....cuz as you autos know, if u just floor it....theres a delay, then it drops to the appropriate gear for the speed.....and thats sometimes. So i was ready for the best acceleration a auto vic could offer N/A. So i'm waitin for HIS move. Well, he made his move and dropped it and i saw him fly up by me. I waited till he was at my side and i took off. INSTANTLY i was even with him. I went into 3 and left it (Since D3 will go upto 115 and we werent gonna get that fast anyways). Suprisingly he didnt pull as much as i expected. I knew it was a fat car and i had weight to my advantage, but i didnt have hte power or the transmission. HAD I HAD a 5 speed i woulda won, or stayed even. But once we hit 90 he didnt gain anymore, and it stayed even. Dead even. Then we aproached a light, and that was that. We drove together for another couple of lights then he turned. It was a good rush. I was pleased with the effort my lil vic gave me today, even if she is an A/T. O well, just thought i'd share my story.
(PS, i dont do that to my transmission often at all. Only when i feel it'll help, and it did, i know it did. I usually always jsut keep in in drive, especially from a stop. Rolling i decide what to do, and rarely am i at a good speed to utilize 2)
Anyways i'm done. Just thought i'd show what the auto vic can do, even if its not much. Still fun though, i always do have fun. Thats all that matters right?
Edit: forgot about the camaro. The other day i was just driving home and this 80's V6 camaro pulls up and stops next to me. this 45 year old, bald short puny looking guy says 'hey whats that thing got!'...i said 'a little 1.7 l inline 4'... and goes 'thats just a little thing! i got a v6!'...i said 'i know you do, is it auto?'..he said yes and i said 'i bet i could beat you'. he laughed. i said 'i bet u 50 bux i could beat you right here and now'. he stopped laughing. then he said 'nah not 50 bux, how bout we just go for fun, i aughta waste that crappy import'. i smirked and said 'keep in mind i ALSO have a little 4 speed auto.' he nodded, did some stupid burn out....like....only one tire actually burned out, the other one in the back didnt even move. ANyways, ligth turns green, i hear him peel, my tires kinda squeal but not really...and all i saw was the front of his car, slowly falling behind. after i hit 3rd i stopped because i had to turn, but he kept going for some reason.....but yeah thats my V6 camaro story that i have.

Yes, I realize that a stock 5-speed EX can equal or beat a lot of higher-HP 4 bangers, but realize that it has to do with something else other than the actual engine output. (Gearing, weight, etc.)
I'm not trying to hate on a civic, but it really is amazing what people are doing with the lowly D-series. Certainly a testament to "numbers aren't everything."

I'm running 9psi daily and 12 psi occasionally on an auto and have put some smack down.
then again i've run into the annoying problem of honda haveing a crappy tranny. its in the works to build up and replace but for now i've down to 6 psi and waiting on parts to come in

No kidding, I run 8 psi daily. But....I will always remember how slow they are without the forced induction. I've driven in plenty of eclipse 5 speeds. I know for a fact that they would have blown a stock auto out of the water.
he is not stock, but I have raced a modded eclipse and raced hotrod and know that I beat hotrod by a good bit more than I did the eclipse. Maybe the guy could not drive the eclipse or he had speakers
