*OFFICIAL* 4th Annual Mid-A Meet Details! Yes! It's finally that time! 
Time, date and place has finally been chosen for the 4th Annual Mid Atlantic Meet! This year, it's going to be in sunny, humid Virginia Beach, Virginia! Yaaaaay! 
Now, on with the details ...
Dates: August 20-21, 2005
Place: Red Wing Park in Virginia Beach, VA (More info here about the park.)
Time: start @ about 1pm
AceKicker (Curt) and I (Mark) will be working on some more of the more definate plans, as to what we need for food/beverages, hotel accomidations, etc.
We will be setting up an email account, so that we can keep in touch with everybody and send out updates and whatnot.
We also need anybody that's planning on coming, either definately or more than likely, to post, letting us know. Your forum name, real name, location and email address will be a good start.
I'll be trying to get in touch with Mex to update the website with all the info. Hopefully he's not too busy and can help us out again this year.
An idea that we're probably going to definately do is name tags this year. Cheesy, yes, but that helps everybody to actually put a name to the face on the forum and whatnot, as we don't all know each other. Also, we talked about maybe getting some shirts printed up, with "4th Annual 7thgencivic.com Meet", etc printed on them. We're gonna be finding out the cost and whatnot. Thought it might not be a bad idea for a little souviner or something. And yes, there will be a 'cover charge' again this year, basically to cover the costs of the meat and other perishable items that'll be provided by the locals. Also, we'll charge accordingly (hopefully cheap) for the tshirts too. We'll update with all of that as we find out more info.
We'll definately keep you all updated on everything that we're doing. We've got 4 months to go, so we'll be moving very quickly on everything.
We'd appricate it if you'd keep all the junk posts out of the thread. Please just respond with what was asked above. If you've got some other ideas, please put them in this thread or PM the both of us, so AceKicker and I can get together and discuss this.
Hope to make this the best turnout thus far! Looking forward to seeing you in August!
Update: Just to let you know, we've been asked to see if we can push the date back a week to the 20th-21st, because of a H-T meet in NJ that same weekend that we weren't aware of. I'll be trying to get with Ace soon so we can figure it out. I don't see forsee a problem with it. Stay tuned!
Update 2: Due to circumstances beyond our control, we will *not* be having the meet at Princess Anne Park. Instead, it will be at Red Wing Park. I have checked this park out and it's actually much nicer than the park we were going to use. We can get a nice shelter under some trees and there will be plenty of parking. It's a really nice place. I'll try and get some pictures up later. I'm still working on moving the date. Might be the end of July now. Not sure.
Update 3: Due to even more circumstances beyond our control, the meet has now been pushed from August 13 to August 20. I've been working with the park to try and get a shelter on the 13th, but none are available. I've been working with some of the people that had reservations that day to see if they'd be willing to bump, but no go.
I'm sorry about that guys. 
So, it's been pushed back 1 week. This will also help to accomidate those of you going to the H-T meet in Englishtown.
Also, I've found a hotel for everybody to stay at. It's not right on the beach, but it's right next to the interstate. Hotels on the strip are very expensive this time of year. We're talking $200+/night. That's just way too expensive. This hotel is right off the interstate, which makes it easier for everybody to get to when it's time to leave. It's a Days Inn and they said that we can have rooms for $112.50 + tax for the night. And they're double rooms, so we can cram 4 people in a room and make it cheap.
Here is the hotel in question. We just need to know how many people are definately going to be coming now so that we can start planning out food/drinks and so we can get these rooms reserved at the hotel. The sooner, the better.
I'll try to keep this thread up-to-date as things progress. We've got about 6 weeks to go!

Rep Power: 0 Hey everyone just like what taz said this is all the info so far it is the most important of all. We are working on finding the best hotels to go to also something that is close and will give us the best cost. That is if you all want to stay over night. We will be finding out prices for the whole weekend (ie you drive down friday afternoon stay friday night and leave sunday morning). and we will also find out the prices for just sat night. We plan on sat night maybe having a big cruise down the strip to show off all of our cars. But if you do plan on coming to the meet please let us know what you will be bringing so we can start making a list on who is bringing what and what we might have to much of. And sorry guys it is a public park so no alcohol PERIOD! The park we are going to is a good size with a good size parking lot where we can fit tons of cars and trust me we will def make a scene with all of our cars in the parking lot. So if you have any questions pm me or taz or ask on here so everyone can see just incase they might have the same question. Well hope to see many of you out there.
