Major Fvck Up for the year 2005
ok, some of you guys know that I did my own clutch... now here's what happened...

now I know I kick me self in the
already... so please keep the flaming to the minimal
can this be fixed by one of those sticky **** we use for broken things that Bondo makes? I don't wanna buy me a whole new tranny unless it can be fixed by welding or something
I appreciate the input guys... and also just incase this thing is non-fixable, if you guys know any website I can get me a whole tranny for cheap that would be great... coz honda will
for there ****... one fvckin 1 damn bolt for the oil pan I stripped $6 fvckin 50 <<< how can they live like that? that's like a sin! where if you go to pepboys it would only be .60 cents... I guess Honda issue fines for bastards like me that fvcks things up doing DIY's by charging more on their parts to minimize fvck ups next time around

Uhmmm..... Honda parts have to meet very strick requirments and tolerances. Only about half the bolts and parts make it through this inspection process, the rest go to Pepboy and get sold for $0.60. Is $6 a rip off for a bolt, yes, but will I pay it, yes becasue I don't want the crappy one that will break shortly after I put it in and cuase my oil to go everywhere but where it is suppose to go.

Oh yeah.... doing your own clutch has nothing to do with that. Something happened inside the tranny. The case has to come apart, tapped back into shape, and welded.
AND you have to find out what caused this failure, or it can happen again.
May be cheaper to get a used tranny.
It's possible that you banged a gear to hard, and the idler shaft slammed forward with more force than the tranny is built to handle. In THAT case, I'd get another tranny and have it beefed up to handle the extra pressure.
But it could be a fluke, the metal may have been weak to start with.

Damn that sucks. Sorry to hear that man. Like someone else said get a professional's advice by showing them the pic you showed us. They should be able to tell you what caused that and if the trans will need to be ripped apart. I'm guessing that anything with the force to crack the casing is going to break any weld no matter how strong.
I found it cheaper to by a used trans and drop it in myself then to have my old one repaired.
Good luck, I feel your pain!

I believe that protruded area is a bearing retainer. Like where a counter balance shaft goes. Its hard to tell without a manual or the tranny in front of me. Just how did this happen. Where you trying to force it or what?? As for a quik fix.......I would say no way just get another tranny check out ebay or a junk yard you do not need a real good one, you got enough there to fix what ever might be wrong with either. Good luck either way!
