03 Civic Si Hatch Purchase Question
03 Civic Si Hatch Purchase Question
OK so here it goes I have found an 03 Civic Si for originally $16500 from a dealer with some mods done to it. It has 23k miles. So i talked the guy down to $14,500. The car has a cold air intake, headers, high flow cat, stainless exhaust system, and lowering springs. The car looks very clean and well taken care of BUT i dont know how the past person drove the car. This is at a Honda Dealership and they have a carfax (which is clean) and his proof of oil changes. So what do u guys think do u think i should go for it or hold off and work a deal on a new one? I would like to just get the 03 and have lesser payments and modded already. Do u think the car would should up ok i dont want to get a POS.
is there a warranty? If there is, then is its messed up its not that big of a deal. a lot of people drive hondas hard and nothing ever goes wrong with them. I would be looking at other cars for that price though, used ones of course.

Sounds like an OK deal to me,...Im not sure where you are located,. but here in the austin-texas area, honda has their "Honda Certified" thing. Basically its like a warranty on any used honda that they have inspected and what not. You can always ask if its Honda Certified,..if not, ask if you can have another mechanic or something look at it. Regardless,...its a Honda it SHOULD holdup almost no matter how hard it was driven.

Yes it still has a factory warranty and it also has had a 150 point inspection by an outside mechanic. They did say the car is covered under the warranty but the aftermarket stuff isnt.

Yeah the car is prolly ok id say with only 23,000 miles. You can beat the crap outta that car and it be ok. Id take it, that or throw down some more loot and grab an 05 with no miles.
