Car Detailing For 2005 Season - Has Started - Bring Your Car To Me For A Wash, wax Etc

Hey Everyone. I just wanted to let everyone know that my CAR DETAILING business is now open.
I do it in front of my apartment in Bellmore.
If anyone wants to get their car cleaned and wants it done right, Come to me. I have plenty of services, from Hand washes to full details.
Private message me for more information, or just post here and I will let you know all the packages I have available with prices. Keep in mind you are getting the 7th gen civic discount. I did a few members cars last year, so if you want it done again, bring it to me...and I will make it shine.
Thanks....And if you have any questions, Please just ask....

Hmm...seems to be cheaper to get an exterior detail along with an interior detail versus getting a full detail.... ???? Your prices are cheap man. I wont even wash a car for less than $25 (and thats a SMALL car). My usual car wash price starts around $35 and goes up to $55 for LARGE vehicles that are very dirty. My full details run from $150 - 300.

I just got into boats down at a local marina. Phew is that some good money.....(along with alot of work).

Good Luck

Thanks...I corrected that error...I put the wrong prices in by accident

$35 for a car wash is ridiculous.....

I got a customer that wants me to polish, wax, and clean the inside of a 25 foot fRinker Custom Cruiser...but im not sure if I want to get involved with that....It seems like it is too much work. How much you think I should charge the guy??

Hey Scott, If you remember when I brought you my 2k1 last year, you buffed out a few of my scratches. I wanted to know if you could help me do the same this year again. My brother got some scratches on his Acura CL and it looks like it's contained to the clear coat. I'll prolly bring in both cars for a full-detail in mid-May, but I wanted to know if you had time this Saturday to just help me with the scratches. Thanks! Best way to get a hold of my is via AIM at "KetanGT" or "DaCurryman". Thanks

Sorry for the long response. For me now that I've gotten the hang of things my starting rate for a newer (late model 03/04/05) boat is around $20/foot up to $25/foot for bad condition boats. That is for EXTERIOR only. I just charged $650 to give a full detail to a 26' including cleaning the cabin, head, and cockpit. It really depends on what the going rate is though in your area. I know in Annapolis (about 35 minutes from me) the advertised starting rate is $26.50/foot....yeah thats the starting rate. Just don't sell yourself short, it is a lot of work. But good money. I started doing work down at one of the local marinas. That was 3 weeks ago tomorrow (wednesday) and I've made about $4700 so far. Not too shabby if your down for the work and you can keep yourself moving.

WOW. I ended up telling the guy $425 to $500 and that was after I heard from other detailers that - that was their going price for boats of that size...well needless to say I guess it was a complete shock to the guy because I never heard back from him.

I am going to talk to a local used car dealer today to see about detailing his car inventory....Hopefully I will get this account.

That's how it goes sometimes. If people don't know what it costs before hand or have never had their boats detailed before it can be a shocker. But you don't want to burn your self out for nothing. The boats are a **** load of work. I just finished on a 27.5' Donzi that was in good condition before I started and I charged $560. Did $300 on a rubrail down on a 97 34' Searay sundancer for $300. Did that job from 12 to 330, talk about a killer hourly wage.

I guess you can't win them all. I just can't get a day off down here working with the boats.
