Turn on Red Arrow

Now I know some areas do not allow turning on a red light ever. Here in FL turning on red is allowed. My question is when are you allowed to turn on a red arrow? I thought the only time was when the red arrow is blinking and you can turn after a stop.

Reason I ask is there are two exits off the interstate. The first has a double right turn lane with a red light, the second has a double right turn lane with a red arrow. I believe it is allowed to turn right at the first exit on red, but not at the second exit (red arrow). I just hate getting beeped at because others run the red arrow. Please clarify this for me.

i really don't think you're ever allowed to turn on a red ARROW....a red LIGHT yes, but not the arrow. its an arrow for a reason....so you don't turn on red. i could be wrong but i don't ever recall coming to an intersection that you're allowed to turn on a red arrow.

Do not turn right only when there is a red arrow pointed right, or when it says no turns on red. All other times you can turn right. Even from the middle lane (3 lane, 2right, 2 left, middle for right or left) you are allowed to turn right. So next time they honk at you, go. If your going right its usually allowed unless posted or red RIGHT arrow.

You can never make a left on a red though, which Im sure you know

red arrows specify for the turn only. if it is a red arrow, i believe that you have to stop and wait. that is because they chose to have a red arrow there for a particular reason, whatever it might be.

at a red light, you can come to a stop, and make a right turn when safe.

any other questions, it is best to go to your local DMV and pick up a driver's handbook. they should be free, and are always nice to keep in the car, especially if you happen to be in an accident, and it helps to clarify whose fault it is.

Here in NY, red arrows don't turn green. They just go away.

That's funny, because I wish all the NY drivers down here would just go away...j/k.

Yeah, I was pretty sure there was no turn on a red arrow. It is funny tho b/c most people will wait then try to go around in the right lane around the time the light is changing. Then I can take the turn (thanks to the sway bar) and stick them in the slow lane since most people take the first left. Bob's vengence.
