Weird tire wear?

- I have the stock Firestone tires, and about 9500 miles on my car, and my front two tires are BARE. I mean almost down to racing slicks practically. The rear tires look brand new. Now granted, I drive quickly, but I have never peeled out in my car and I don't slam on the brakes too often. Are they just cheap tires, or is there something wrong? I've never gone through just TWO tires. Could the alignment be off? Any suggestions? Is there a warrenty on the tires at all? Thanks

Hey dude have you ever heard of Tire Rotation? Look on your Manual. Front tires are more prone to wear cuz our car is a front wheel drive and most of the weight are in front coz of the engine

And one more thing I think theres a warranty for that did your dealer gave you that?

- I am going to rotate the tires, obviously I'd rather not be driving with no tread in front. I know my front tires should wear a little faster than the back ones because all the power is going to the front. I just wanted to know if this is normal or is something is wrong? If so, what? I've only had the car since August, so I'm more than a little p!ssed off that at this rate, I'll have to buy 4 new tires next May, with only about 20,000 miles on the car.

Actually, Honda sais to rotate the tires every 10,000 miles. (stock tires, not aftermarket). I find it hard to believe that those tires could be that bad at 9500 miles. Thats where I am @ now, and they still look brand new.

Whatever you do, DON'T PUT THOSE TIRES IN THE BACK! You don't want that. B4 you know it you will be slipping and sliding and having massive oversteer and wondering why. OK, maybe not massive oversteer, but you will notice the difference on wet or slick roads. I don't think you'll have a problem with snow there in socal, but I know it rains.

- Hrm nope no springs on my car, stock wheels and suspension. My 10,000 mile checkup is coming up, I think I'll have them look at the alignment too. And I'll buy two more tires... maybe BETTER ones this time... anyone know anything about a warrenty on the tires? Is it possible? Since I didn't do anything to the suspension, then if the alignment or something is off, the dealer should cover it right?

Don't buy new tires..They're on warranty remember... When you take the car in.. rant rave and threaten to pee on the plants in the dealership.. They'll give you 2 brand new tires and a free alignment .. I got a free full paint for doing that cause I rock chipped the paint on my front bumper and the paitn started peeling off around it bigtime..

Cheers

DUDE check the pakage that came with the manual..... see, how long the life range of the tires are.. and if you didn't reach that range.. bring it back to dealer and tell them the tires didn't last as long as it was stated!!! "CAN SOMEONE SAY "free tire replacement or repair"?
since you saidn it's everyday driving....

Just don't put it off too long. I did, you need something like 10% of your tread left to claim the warranty. Also, get your alignment checked first. They'll blame that if it's off.
