Gas Prices Likely here to stay!

i just happended to be reading my email and an article on the current gas price issue was one of the links under the news! they said that gas prices are likely to continue to rise until enough demand is depleted! Basically until America stops buying gas guzzling suvs and driving all the damn time. America isnt the only country consuming alot of oil but we are one of the highest! They also said that it also has to do with an "improving" economy! When the economy gets "better" energy usage goes up and consequently drives gas prices with it! So basically the future of gas prices looks pretty bleek if the economy continues to "grow!" BTW estimates show that gas may need to go up to $4/gal. before it starts affecting people financially! YIKES!!!!!!! I guess Greddy will need to start making turbos for fuel cell and hybrid cars!

We use a lot of gas, but the high gas prices are a combination of the huge economic growth in China right now and some of the stuff going on in the middle east. China is probably the main reason gas so high because there is a huge demand for it.

Yeah I've heard that Hummers are totally nuts. I think I heard that they get like 7 miles to the gallon If thats true then thats totally crazy..I dont really see any car thats worth paying like $60 to fill up and last you like 4-5 days (unless of course you're loaded)

Having driven in Germany, our gas prices are LOW in comparison. But even if gas goes to $4 a gallon, I'll just point at SUV's and laugh my A$$ off.

If gas goes even higher I'll buy Civic Hybrid. I figure the gas-prices and car payments will break even if gas goes over $3.50 after about 5 years with the amount of driving I have to do.

I hope gas does hit $4/gal... people will be forced to conserve. I don't care if everything else costs more as a result, four bucks a gallon is the only way Joe Sixpack will ever pay attention to the country's energy crisis.
