If you really want to know a big problem with gas, getting the oil isn't the problem. The problem is that the EPA has placed strict rules on oil refineries. Many have had to close, but now we actually are getting enough oil (the price of crude oil has actually gone down the last 3 weeks), we just can not refine it fast enough. So until more clean refineries are built, gas will not drop significantly.

And for anyone who even tries to compare the US gas prices to the European prices, don't post. Of course European gas prices are higher, they completely really on the US to refine the oil, they don't produce any crude oil, all they do is buy it. We in the US import and drill our own crude oil and refine it our selves, then we have to ship it all the way to Europe, so it only makes sense they will be higher, they are only buying an end product.

Once George W Bastard gets out of office he wont be able to make political moves that benefit his oil company buddies.

I just read another article that said we could be oil free by 2050 if we start investing in energy conservation and new technology!

imagine 50 years from now....no gas.......all the tuners use hydrogen fuel cells....and a 15 sec. 1/4 mile is like what a 9 sec. 1/4 mile is to us now.

hey hey.... I help in developing those H2 fuel cells. And actually they can increase speed because electric motors create all there torque at zero RPM, so you have a huge amount of power ready at stand still. THe electric Camary here (it runs off batteries, not fuel cells) runs in the 14's, faster than most civics.

Bleh Canada just found out a new way to extract oil supposedly the spot always had but it was too thick to be extract. New Tech helped them take it out and the supply is bigger than saudi arabia (sp?) . So what's gonna happen is US is gonna force canada to keep it and when Saudi Arabia runs out and canada (mostly U.S.) still has their supply. U.S. will control the market cuz canada is up their ***. So pretty much US will have all the power and control.

Really, do you have a link to this. Not trying to call BS or anything, but I want to read more about this because that would change alot in this world.

I've had my hybrid for a year now. My co-workers give me dirty looks when I tell them how rarely I buy gas compared to how often they do. And how much mileage I get.
I've been thinking about getting a personalized tag that says GOT MPG?

Payed 2.33 here and yep it sucks but still those SUV's just keep driving around. But I just have to laugh when I see the pump when they leave what a cost plus the payments on it.
