The LACK of track days being offered by california speedway is getting rediculous. today I showed up at CSW 1 hour before the "pre-lineup" is supposed to start and there were already about 300 or so cars in line across the street. I have NEVER seen it that bad before. people were there since 9am in the morning I was told. Myself and some feloow celica owners are going to work on getting some kinda petition going to hopefully spur csw into offering more track days like they used to.

1 yr ago they used to run twice a month and limit of 500 cars. Now they have 1 day a month, every other month and they limit it to 400 cars.

We're also going to send a copy to the local media to try and help stir things up.

anyone interested in helpin out would be much appreciated. Just send me a pm if you have some ideas.


I'd also like to point out that the illegals have tripled their size and frequency by my house which is gonna mean increased harassment by the cops for ALL import owners.

I couldn't agree with you more. I was there today and it SUCKED! Please let me know how I can help. Also, I think they need to organize the run groups by class. I ended up goin against some old azz truck with some big azz motor that totally demoralized me when he pulled hard from me. Each run group should do something similar to autocross events where each run group takes its 3-4 runs and then the next group gets their turn.

Didn't see it. Must have happened later in the day. Fastest car I saw was some older car (Mustang or somethin) with police lights on top ran a around 10.72.

irwindale is an 1/8th mile track... i like the 1/4 mile... it's long enough to get those come from behind victories....

I hear ya, I luv a 1/4 mile track but I don't know if putting in a 12-13 hour day for 3 or 4 runs is worth it.

I love irwindale. so far my favorite track. they used to be 1/4 mile back in the day but they added that cart track and bumped it down to an 1/8 mile. it's one of the best preped tracks you'll run at. If you cant get good launches ther ethen it's cause you cant drive lol

also take a look at the csw track schedule. they added a couple more race days not a major victory but it's a start.

Ummm interesting I love irwindale I wont lose my patience there cause i get pissed at california speedway. I thinkI need different tires cause I cant launch at the track on the azenis.
