05 Civic Help...

I recently purchased a 2005 Civic Coupe DX-VP.... I bought it with 6 miles on the "O" and it now has a little over 400... I have been very gentle with her/breaking it in properly, but now there is a problem...

The shifter use to be very stiff and felt sturdy, now it feels very loose and shitty... It started doing this all of a sudden... I know how to drive a stick so dont assume thats its my fault. The tranny seems to whine at idle now too.. I am really pissed off... I have never treated any car this good to see it get ****ed up with 400+ miles on it...

Im definately taking it to the dealer ASAP but I'd like to know if this is a common problem... Can be fixed so this wont happen again, even if I have to use aftermarket parts...

I have the 7 year 100k mile warrenty on it.. I never thought Id need the warrenty on a Honda, but know Im wondering..

CLeeNx04CiVic has a little shameless behaviour in the past
go bring it back and have them check it out...if its not the tranny then just replace the shifter assembly and get a REVO SS...youll be much happier...I AM...hahah

Yeah, and they'll instantly try to screw you out of any warranty. Be warned.
It does not matter if an aftermarket part actually works BETTER.
Don't let the dealer give you the old "you must have been racing" BS either.

Thanks for the imput guys... I will probably take it back to the dealer some time this weekend.... The dealer is about 25 miles away, and I am a lazy **** right now.

Thanks again
