Pillows What do they do?
Ok soo, I returned my K Speeds. Decided to go with a brand name instead. Now I decided that Tein SS are my goal! But now...I was reseraching on their site and they have 2 models for our civics. One with pillowballs and one without. Which one do I need? I can have either right? Cuz I can use stock pillowballs or get the tein ones. Now my question. What do they do? and why if I decide to get the tein pillow ***** is the difference between stock and tein? Does teins have some type of magic in them?
I ask this question because I know a friend who owns a company and he will give me the Tein ss with pillowball for only $1200.

Pillow blocks replace the top upper mount on the front strut. They allow for adjustments of camber on the front wheels.
If you can afford them, they will be a good investment. You should get improved feel on the top mount and you will not need a camber kit for the front wheels.

for a street car you don't need them, but for a track car it would be recomended. on the street they will be rough and loud just like rob said. plus you have to lube them every once in a while.

If the pillowball itself is loud, you got problems. I don't think you gotta lube it either, but I usually do.
What you hear is the spring and the metal perch and all the other metal when you hit a bump. Its not the pillowball.
