The attachments on this forum don't work, but if you have a server where you can upload them then that would work. If you don't have a server then e-mail me the pics and I'll upload them onto my server and put them within this thread. My e-mail is: dobosz@wpi.edu

i am thinkin about doin that but it is too cold right now. did you mask off some parts of the lights? i see you have some black lines running through the turnsignal and running light ports. Nice detail!
Yeah, that'd screw up your brightness, you need to paint just the frong housing. As far as what was painted black, it actually separates from everything else so you can paint it by yourself with no taping involved. The black lines you saw were just reflections.
Erichyung: Those look really good. Great job. Do you think they would look good red? How did you paint them and what materials did you use?

Materials used:
Black No-Gloss Engine Spray Paint
Masking tape
scissors
paper
If you are thinking about doing this, give yourself the whole saturday weekend. It takes long time covering the chrome part that you don't want to paint.
and be really careful.

Can't you separate the inner reflector from the outer chrome piece? So that way you wouldn't have to tape anything?
Did you prime before you painted? Also, did you sand before or after or both, if at all?

Man that looks great. I should have done that to mine when I cleared my lights but my friend who was helping me clear the lights was getting tired from the sticky stuff that's hard to take apart. I'll think about it again come spring time.
Looks good man. I painted my housings too. But I didn't mask anything off, painted the whole thing. I was gonna mask it, but I liked the look of having it entirely black. I'll post pics shortly in member's rides as soon as my new digi comes in.
