man... my search for the perfect 240 has been a tough one... i've been looking on autotrader.com and cars.com for over 6 months now and I still haven't been able to find a decent price for a 240sx....

I was gonna buy an older 240sx hatchback but i've decided that since i'm gonna be dumping a lot of money into the car anyways, i might as well get something that i want which is the 97-98 kouki model....

for those of you that don't know what it looks like... heres a picture...

I've wanted this car even before the whole JDM craze... i've wanted this car since i was in 8th grade (approx. 8 years ago) but i've never had a chance to buy one because of my parents...

i'm moved out, and i have i only have about a couple grand left over on my civic so i'm planning on selling the civic and use the money to buy the car... as for your comment on how the USDM 240sx's are a peice of shiet... the only major difference is the motor and it's left hand drive....

over that 8 year time period of gawking at this amazing machine, i've met a lot of people on the way... i've personally assisted in 4 sr20det motor swaps, my closest friends all own and sell parts and work on silvia's...

i realize that your view on the USDM version of the car is different from mine but i still like this car just like you like your car and all the cars that you will have in the future.... don't confuse my motives for buying the car so that I can be like everyone else cause the fact of the matter is, i've wanted this car way before the sr20 swap became a trendy thing....

i have all the resources that i need to get this car now and i'm in the market to purchase one and i will get one one of these days...

I had a 91 240SX coupe about 6 years ago (my first car) and sold it not knowing what I had, Im now looking for the same kind of car, a 97-98 Kouki cause I loved my old one and I miss haveing it. good luck! Try 240sxforums.com

proto is a cool shop but i dunno about their cars... i kinda wanna do my own swap just so i know everything is done clean... theres a 95 se sitting in front of their shop which i'm thinking about but i wanna see if any kouki's come around so i don't have to do the front end conversion...

i like the s15 front end but i don't like them on the s14 body... it looks weird to me... i think s14.5's look way better with a wide body... everything else looks kinda off for some reason... i dunno... that's just my opinion

i found someone with a KOUKI!!!!!

yay!!! it's an automatic but still... i'm getting it for a really good deal...

hopefully everything will work out and i'll be driving it to the meet in April...
