lots of noise from tires

im a newb when it comes to suspension so here is my question.
alright so i have the tein stechs and kyb agx shocks on my 01 sedan

at first i set the front and back to the most firm, 4, just to see how it feels and then id adjust them from there.

i noticed that they were REALLY stiff. i could take a turn at like 20 and i hear my tires slipping, mostly my front. so i turned the front down to 2 and the rear to 3. it felt a little better but i would get so much noise when turning.
tried 1 on the front and 2 in the rear last night, i tried a wide right turn and it was really loud.
i would be able to take turns hard with my sotck shocks and it would never make a sound

are my tires causing it to slip or the firmness of my shocks?

im on my stock 14s with goodyear regatta II tires.

Once you replace the tires, see how things are. I have AGX's also, and don't have any type of problems like that.

i'm assuming the noise your talking about is the tires screetching?
is it possible that your alignments off? its recommended you get one especially after you get new shocks. i remember when I just installed the hayames, ate up my STOCK tires in a matter of months cause the toe was off. And yeah everytime I took a turn, even if it wasnt hard, it would make some noise...

yea my friend said i should get an alignment
that could be part of the problem too

the thing is im getting new tires and rims in about a month so would it matter if i get alignment now or after i get the new rims on? i dont want to pay for 2 alignments if i dont have to

wait til you get all the new stuff. With new tires the noise should go away anyway. The alignment will just keep em from doing it again.

Heres a Quick tuning handling with dampers...

simply increase the rebound dampering on the opposite end of the car that you want to grip more. Example: if the car is understeering, increas the rear rebound (Stiffer) or decrease the front rebound. Do the opposite if the car is oversteering.

Happy tuning.
