F*** up TURBO?????????
F*** up TURBO?????????
For some reason, when I am on Idle..
It still tends to trow out white smoke....
Only after you've driven in it for a while....
I have no Idea what this could be ....
I am thinkin it could be S-AFC wrong Air Connection or something, but i seriously doubt it!. because there' should be plenty of fuel going in there!...
I'am now starting to think, that it could be the TURBO.
When I leave it on idle, *when white smoke commin out*, right before any smoke comes out the car kinda chokes or something, It does a lil lil choking sound and then the smoke comes out!> Turbo I believe is my last resort on everything... *(are those, ****ed up turbo symptoms)* or could it be a clogged up PCV valve... Dont really knw!.
PS> dont mention Headgasket,or Blow bye,
1.My car aint overheating
2.I've already done compression test's on all cylinders, and there all 100% perfect...
What does this crap sound like???????????????????

Mine used to do the same thing and it was the seals in the turbo. I could be your return line backing up with oil. If the return is mounted to low in the oil pan it will do that, it should be mounted up high. Maybe try a larger return line.

You mean Return on the OIL pan right?

1st of all just because your ride isnt overheating right now doesnt mean you dont have a blown head gasket. 2nd, neither does good compression check. White smoke tends to mean coolant burning and I have never heard of anything else causing white smoke so I wouldnt rule it out as being a possibility just yet until you find out more.
Very good point! hair line crack in your Head could be the problem. One of the ways to find out if this is your problem Is get access to a gas analyzer for smog. first remove radiator cap, warm the car up preferably when your car has white smoke coming from the tail pipe. careful not warm up too much you don't want to over heat the motor. once you start seeing steam from where you removed you radiator cap it should be good to go. what your going to do is check for Hydrocarbon (HC) at the radiator cap inlet with the sample probe from the gas analyzer. the reason you are checking HC in you coolant is when you have a hair line crack in you head you are not only sucking and burning coolant but also pumping combustion gasses though your head into your coolant. Their are few other ways to diagnose "white smoke" this way is just the easies for me.
Yeah my friend drives an eclipse and he was driving real hard over to my house pulls up with white smoke comin outa his hood. He blew a head gasket, also a sophomore at my school his BMW had white smoke and pretty sure its a head gasket there too.
Civilcly where do you think he could get a gas analyzer for smog?

SO is this coolant problem shop fixable...
Or is this something that I'am going to to replace heads?
cuz if so..lol THERE AInt no way I am getting a new head, Itll be worthless, I might as well get a new car...

I doubt it would be a hair line crack, cuz if it was .. I think i would've blow my engine by now....... My car does not over heat at all... I dont have any SMOKE comming out the engine. It could be some coolant leaking into the combustion or something, maybe headgaskets.... but I am going to cut it down to
1. Oil Pan, make sure thers enough oil going into the turbo
2. Leaking coolant some where..
3. Headgaskets...
lol, I always have serious amount of bad luck when it comes to my 7th gen car.
But i think this time, I might be lucky, and i dont think it could be a crack anywhere on the HEAD. Cuz 1. the highest I've ran on boost is 8.5 psi.. and thats only on the DYNO.
Daily driving, I always drive at stock 6-7 psi's...
So I've doubt I've done any serious driving that could've ended up f**** my head!
+ its a civic.. THey last long as f****
ps...... Even when the car is really really hot, it wont always trow white smoke,, It only does it sometimes....
I actually think it has to do with the OIL... I may be wrong.
Sometimes I trow just white smoke, and sometimes it comes out bluesh

And let me clear up what i meant by screwed:
We've narrowed it down to two possible problems:
-Blown HG
-Hairline cracked head
I still stand by the cracked head
but EITHER WAY, ur screwed with having the take off the head. For anyone that's ever done it, it's not hard, but takes time.

There are a couple of things it could be, if its blowing white smoke, it is NOT the turbo. In a turbo there is no physical way for water to get into the exhaust. You will need to pull the head in any case, wether or not it is a blown head gasket or cracked cylinder head. My friends BMW has cracked 3 heads, didnt't overheat, just blew smoke. Pull the spark plugs and see what they look like.
