blacked out headlights, my version (new pics updated)
well i didnt want all black and i didnt want chrome, so i decided to go another route. BLACK and SILVER. the parking circle and turn signal areas are silver while the rest is black. its not the best masking job but i think it still looks good. lemme know what you think and am i the only one to do this?









this is how i get a tight seal on them, clamps from Wal-Mart.


these are going on the car later this week. would do it sooner but the forecast is rain for the next few days.

looks good, i like how you didn't paint behind the amber piece. imo that looks the best.

Hate to break it to ya, but if you look closer, he did paint behing the amber piece, lol he went mostly silver back their but their is still black in the turn sig area...

hate to break it to you, but i'm talking about blacking out EVERYTHING so that the amber is dark. i already knew he painted the inside silver.

actually its silver in the turn signal area, no black at all. i'll post the other side when i'm done with it. the blue headlight looks sick but wouldnt look good on my car.

Does making it silver reduce reflectability and reduce light output? Did you make the headlight area silver as well?

no i left the main headlight chrome. i figured while others are painting the entire thing black and losing the light reflectiveness, why not paint silver and gain some better lighting than black.
