Exclamation need help with wiring this thing

Hi guys. Check this post http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...11#post2843511. Now I'm looking for someone in SoCal that has an idea of how to get this to work. The whole kit is brand new and has instructions but they're not so descriptive to me and I'm a newb if it comes to car electricity.

reading all those posts make it sound so much harder than it really is...
Just tap into the - to the doorpin switch and the + to a constant power source(not sure why the instructions said the other way around)

just buy those tapping things. Its a clip that clips onto the doorpin switch wire and the constant power wire and provides power to the doorsill wires. pretty much what you want to do is connect the doorsill wires to the doorswitch and the constant and the tapping things is an easy way of doing that...

where do you live? if your close enough i might be able to help out.

here's a picture of the taps..

The black wire would be wire your tapping into(the doorswitch and the constant)
The red wire would be the doorsill wire.

I live in Lemoore by Fresno but I come to LA every once in a while to see my family. I will be there at the end of this month. It'd be great if you could help me out with this. Thanks.
