New to the Civic world...
And I want to talk with others that are thinking about/will be or have made modifications to their Civics...I've got some ideas in mind, but I need to bounce them off y'all and see what's feasible and not.
I've already figured out that there aren't very many mods available for the 2005 coupes yet, but they're coming, and I want to know when and what to look for. Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Steve

a civic is a pain in the *** to mod, i say this because once you get it slightly faster you want it to be even faster and there is only so much you can do until you are forced to save for the really big mods which is the point i'm at. my lips are sealed though on what i'm doin.
I see your point...
I'm looking to go as far as I can without the whole engine swap meleé...I'm gonna start with the cold air intake, but after that I'm kinda multidirectional...I know there's turbos and the like...but I need recommendations on what to look for and why.

I'd def check in the other products and parts section of this website. You might get alot of responses over there. Though they will probably be saying the same thing about the performance and not getting much out of bolt ons etc unless you go turbo or swap. I am a stock riding mo fo all the way besides a drop. Oh and welcome to the site.

Intake and Exhuast should be your first to performance mods I think.. They are relavtivlly cheap and will give you maybe 5 - 10 hp overall between the two.
Head over to http://www.nopionline.com and browse thier site. They may not have the best prices in the world, but one thing is FO SHO.. You will get your stuff like mega fast.
BTW.. Welcome to the board!

I'll get on that...
By the way, don't even THINK about purchasing any "Bomz Racing" stuff off of Ebay...I bought their cheap-*** CAI and it doesn't even fit my car...I sent it back to them and got my money back, thank God...FYI...

well personally if you want power. dont even bother with intake and exhaust... you will be lucky for 3whp add... and that would be in your last 500rpms of the power band. If you want power go turbo. simply the best way to go without swap. But first off i'd do drop and rims then go straight for turbo. Turbo kits can be 'home made' easily with less than you would spend on a prefab kit. Hell if you are interested i have a turbo and fmic available for sale. Other than turbo id have to say nitrous. I dont like it at all but it is effective. please dont **** around with intake and other bolt ons, it is a waste of money.

Exhuast I would say go w/ Greedy... I have a Greedy Evo on my car and I think it sounds pretty dope.. Greedy = $$$ tho.
If you talking speakers.. talk to Joel about that. but becareful, he is liable to sell your own car back to you.

I have an Apexi World Sport exhaust. It's quiet and has a deep tone. I switched cars with my friend once and followed him around while he drove my car. Sounded really sweet. Definitely not a "fart can."

i would recommend either greddy sp2 or apexi ws2, both of those have a good tone and look very nice, not abnormally huge. But I am not sure if they make the sp2 for us... haha

i have 2.25" piping with magnaflow resonator and flowmaster muffler and a obx/kamikaze replica header on my lx and it sounds really good. plus it has the sorta stock look for the sleeper effect.
i love what i did to my car i think it sounds great, but you will hear the same thing from everybody. everybody is going to like the way his/her exhaust is sounding otherwise they wouldnt have bought it.
