Muffler sound difference
Muffler sound difference
Both me and my friend bought the same exact muffler off ebay from the same seller. I have a 2003 civic ex automatic, and he has a 1996 cavy automatic, and his muffler is RIDICULOUSLY louder than mine. This is fine with me bc i wasnt really looking for a loud muffler and im happy with the sound, but it still boggles my mind on how his is so much louder when its the same exact thing on a similar car?
i guess that makes sense, its just weird though because his is the loudest muffler i have ever heard, and mine is decently quiet. I was thinking it might be something more than the resonator.

well, every car is different unless they were put on the same car. you can never expect the same sound out of a set up on a different car.

Different size engine, different size exhaust piping, different resonator/cat/manifold. All these would differentiate the sound.
