DIY Ground kit facts
Hello, id like to clear up something on the diy for ground cable install. The way he has it done is fine but it is excessive, i had the nice chance to dyno test some of my theories. all you need is one from the battery to the trans case, and one from the battery to the block and to the frame above the radiator ill post pics as soon as i can get my digital camera back, but i saw a gain of just under 1 hp with that and adding more did nothing good diy but a bit excessive is all enjoy.

It stabilizes the flow of voltage for all the electrical accessories on the car. You won't notice much with just the wire upgrades tho. Get the HVS ( hyper voltage system) and you'll feel a difference.

I didn't dyno it separately, but it's known to give a few hp at least. Ground wires are good for maybe 1hp on our cars. I've seen a wrx with new wires gain 5.5whp from a magazine dyno. Doesn't seem to help us much. Here's a company dyno, so it might not be entirely accurate. HVS = hyper voltage system, HGS = hyper ground system (wires only).

Ya the hvs combined with ground wires does make a difference. I took it off cause I didn't think so, but it went right back on after I felt the loss of power. It's not much, but it's something. All I have is one small amp for the speakers, so it definately helps even a stock car. Everything on your car benefits from better grounds because it's all electronic.

I see you don't have any mods listed so assuming your stock. 105 is pretty damn good.

when u say the block, do you mean valve cover?
so would it still be neg > radiator support > valve cover (block) still?

I just want to ensure I have the same location as you... I am not sure of what you mean by "block". Is it the thermostat housing (stock location, B on the picture) or the actual valve cover (location A)?
Presently I have this set-up in 4g wire:
1) I replace the stock wire battery-chassis-tranny by 2 wires: #1 Battery to Tranny (stock location) ans #2 Battery to Chassis (stock location; passenger strut tower under the fuse box)
2) I replace the stock wire between thermostat housing and radiator support
3) Battery to Thermostat housing (is it the "block")???
Thanks man!
