Nitrous noob question....should I disconnect my nitrous bottle after every use???

I just installed my nitrous this past weekend and I've just been messing around with it around town to get a feel for it....but when I'm done driving I don't know if I should disconnect the hose and waste all that nitrous that's pressurized in the hose...or if it's okay to just leave it hooked up with the pressure there???

Also, how much nitrous do you think I waste by disconnecting the hose from the bottle everytime???

buy a purge valve kit and blow off the pressure after your done using it. This way no risk of the NAAAWWWWWS leaking in to the intake manifold and blowing the WELDS !

NEWB?????

how the hell is naws going to leak into the intake manifold. as long as you keep the bottle off its going to be fine. I actually leave mine on for the night just incase anyone tries to steal it. Besides lets say you have some nitrous left inside the lines. Its way too little to do anything. You wont waste much when you take off the lines but I suggest leaving the lines on. If you keep taking on and off the teflon washer inside the -4 an screw will get loose and you will need to buy another one if you keep disconnnecting/connecting it.

So just leave the bottle hooked but dont worry about it blwing cuz that will never happen. Remember to turn it off too.. You dont need a purge kit to purge the nitrous. Just press gas on hard with the wot switch on and the bottle valve off. It works just as good.
This is what I do routinely when unscrewing the bottle for fill-ups.

If you had any lengthy experience with the gas you would know that solenoids deteriorate (sp?) over time and need to be rebuilt over the years....

they do not need to be rebuilt. you can change filter or clean it.

Cleaning a filter has absolutely nothing to do with the operation of the solenoid. All it does is make sure debris doesn't inhibit solenoid / spray nozzle operation....

well from the way your saying it, it seems as if a solenoid will go bad instantly. Think what you want but they didnt make nitrous work that way.
