Q? w/ 11.5:1

if you run a compression this high, is it still safe to run off of 91 oct w/o an octane booster... and still aviod dentination?

yeah, if the vehicle is timed right.... in our cars the timing is so mild that you can probably run 11.5:1 without any problems on 93 would be my bet.

I think these cars have a knock sensor too - so you should have no troubles.

i would run at least a 93 to be safe, with that compression ratio you might at well go higher w/ octane boosters or pre-mixed race gas, you will fly...it's expensive but so is building a 2k1 engine to run 11.5:1...can our cylinder walls handle that????

thanks fellas, as of right now... there aren't enough parts out to turn our motors into beasts. Just getting an idea on what our motors are capable of.
