Cool Tech Day SOON!

There are some of us that are in need of a Tech Day right now. I know Ive seen another person or two that could use some help. This is what Im thinking:

March 5th or 6th (sat or sun) whichever fits peoples schedule (uberjeff)
My house on Tatum & Bell
Beer, BBQ, Munchies

Whoever is having something installed can throw down on some grub or beer, and whoever is just helping, free? I dont know if that sounds good or not, but I can get some sh**.

Most of ya know, Im getting a turbo, and possibly a clutch installed. If anybody has some welding Skillz, that would be awesome. My next door neighbor has all the welding stuff. I dont know how long it takes for the clutch, since it looks like you have to take a lot apart. So maybe not that, I can have a shop do it if I feel like it. NOT THE TURBO!

So if you want to come, just post a PM, and what date would be better. TommyTran lives down the street, so Ill find out where he lives, kidnap him, and force him to help if he doesnt come!!! Hey Les, does your girl know how to sew? I need somebody that can for my interior.

Peace

I'm in for the Tech day, but unfortunately I'll be in Tucson on the 5th and currently I have to work on the 6th. Unless my personal day gets approved for Sunday that weekend is hosed for me. I'd would definately be down for the 12th or any Saturday after that if everyone can remain patient until then.

The next weekend, I have kids.... ummmm. I dont know how long I can wait. Lets change tech day to install turbo day. but if anybody else needs some help, just come by and do it. A turbo that fits perfectly should take about 4 or 5 hours, correct? This is what Im thinking, maybe less if there are more people.

Chris - what days would be good for you? or what times maybe?

I have a couple people that will help install the turbo when im ready anyways, so I will probably be doing it that weekend, since its my only free time for a couple weeks. But if anybody wants to come by and help, grub, or drink. Let me know.

If interest so far there is:

Falken
Alex
azcruisin

plus my friend Adam, and my neighbor may chill for alittle while. He's like 45-50, but cool as f***. Maybe he'll bring us for a ride in his transam

Sign me up bro! You know I'm in!!! i dunno if my girl can sew?! She's expensive either way though we're both screwed! HAHA, just dont tell her I said that!
Any opp to get hands dirty, Im there!!!

Since we have limited time when are you getting all the turbo stuff? I want to take a good long look at the instructions for any tricky parts that might trip us up... that way the tech day can go a lil smoother and we can double check the work so you dont blow your engine up!

Peace

I am ordering TOMORROW, FINALLY!!! I got my state money today, and either today or tomorrow at the latest I will have the fed return back. It comes with full instructions, so if you want to check em out when I get em, Either Ill scan,t ake a pic, or you can come by, or I can go by your place. Im so freakin excited. Got a clay bar today to get all the crap off my car from the cruise, so Ill be nice and shiny as well.
Do you know about installing clutches? If thats a lot of work, I can drop it off at a shop to do it for free, so either way. I saw the DIY and they took the motor mounts out, the tranny half way out and a bunch of other stuff. So I think I should probably have another place do that.

So the list is:
TommyTran (is down to get dirty)
My Friend Adam (Is down for sure)
Alex (down to talk ****)
Rufus (down to talk ****)
Falken (interest?)
azcruisin (interest?)

My neighbor will let us borrow any welding stuff, or possibly tools that we need. He has a lift as well if thats needed (for strut or spring install maybe needed for people).

My friend Dustin will probably be coming to learn as well. and maybe my friend Thomas (hes got a sick accord, Ill call him up) Take over my neighborhood with some sick imports.

What tools should I have?

I have all the sockets I should need, only my car jack, but my neighbor has the lift. Dremel if something needs to be shaved a little bit. I can get all the tools I need, but not too sure what all I need.

I do need to get some new spark plugs as well, huh? Ive totally spaced those. the IK20s or something?

I'll bring some tools as well(as long as they dont walk away!)...

IK20's are 1 heat range lower than stock for your car... if they are still too hot a plug you can always get the IK22's...

No, Im not like that. I borrow tools from my friends sometimes, and drive by wherever I have to to return them the next day.

I think I am going to mount my IC, and some of the piping before y'all come over, so it doesnt take 10 hours to do everything. I will hook up what I can beforehand without hooking up anything/blocking the way to stuff.

Anytime you want to come by Les, let me know. Ill have it in the next 5 or 6 days in my possession, and I will start here and there with it.

AZ cruisin, come kick it. Are you the on on the cruise that said, is that glass over there? when that lady was selling the rocks near that canyon we stopped at? The one who had to be different and park far away at the last gas station we stopped at. Juss tryin to figure out who you are exactly. Either way, come over.

Coors light is fine, or if somebody else wanted something else, I could get a couple things.

Looks like we'll have a good amount of people comin.

Peace

Ah bro I'm sorry, I didnt mean you or anything like that... hehe im not worried about that just whomever else might be there...!
I look at mods this way... if its more than 10 nuts/bolts and its the first time you've done it, it may take twice the time the directions say!

Peace

I messed up on what I wanted to type, I didnt mean it like you meant it like that. My bad. Sorry.

Definately right about that taking twice as long. People are saying 10 hours. That seems a little long, but if all fits right and half is done, it should be more than 4 or 5, hopefully less. Ill have a lot done beforehand though, but lines and electrical stuff, I will wait for some help. I could do the electrical, I am confortable with out electrical stuff in the car. The ECU shouldnt be that bad. Of course the manifold and turbo would be on the last day as well. An IC and pipes going to nothing will look better than my busted grill anyways, haha. I hate it. Every time I look at my car, I see this black and chrome grill. Im ghetto as hell.

Well, I just hope it all gets finished the day Im wanting it finished. I cant go w/o a car for more than a day or two right now.

not this weekend, next weekend I have kids, so the weekend after I will be finishing it all up. Doing a lot of the work. I finally got my money, just waiting on a PM to order it.

Should I get a silver/green, or black and green SLP sticker? I have chrome wheels, black headlights, and black grills. Im thinking black/green though. They might have a plain silver one. DONT CALL IT RICE EITHER, OR ILL WHOOP YOUR A**! hehe

Peace

ps: SLP is the absolute bomb diggity *** kickinest vendor on the site. Order sh** through them.
