bus drivers
do bus drivers always have the right of way regardless of which kind of traffic is flowing and its in? imagine a 2 lane road and im driving 25mph in my lane and always staying in my lane. you know how buses need to take 2 lanes?... well this bus decides to try to cut in front of me after stopping at a bus stop (keep in mind this bus driver knew i was comming up couple feet away, prob a good 3-5 seconds) and he/she decides to jump into my lane hogging both lanes in order to get onto the road. now are bus drivers allowed to do this legally and have the right of way or was this bus driver another one of those stupid minority bus drivers around oakland?
i could've stopped but it would've been a harsh stop where my passengers would have their bodies thrown forward a little.

think about this...bus drivers deal with traffic everyday and all day...I dont think they really care about other cars as long as they keep their schedule. The have the cities backing unless they really mess up.
Think of it like you're in a boat on the lake...the bigger, slower, less maneuverable boats have right of way over the smaller, faster, more maneuverbale ones...

thats damn shady though. its like "im driving an suv, whatever i do, i wont be so injured, the other smaller cars will get fcuked, not me"
but it was pretty messed cause im positive the bus driver knew i was comming up in my SUV (cant miss that one).

edit: i like the drivers that will ride the curb until they get to 45mph and then come over.

they just passed some stupid law here that says we have to yield at all times for the busses. That sucks a$$!
We have those articulated busses that are like 2 busses attached.....I just love when you're trying to hit a left turn lane that's barely big enough for 10 cars and you get two of these damn things in it..

Bus drivers suck for the most part. Sometimes they don't turn right and the car in the oncoming lane has to back up so it can turn. Oh ya and one driver ran over and killed a student here so ya they don't really stop for anyone in crosswalks even tho it's a STATE LAW!

all i know here in nyc, i think, bus rules apply to all rules in the drivers manual, if you are pulling out of a spot, then all others have the right of way. different in nj though, they just passed a new law saying if the bus has its blinkers on, u have to give it right of way. now school buses, dont mess with those, you'll never win, they'll always put the "kids safty" into battle.
