RSX type S 19 mm rear sway bar ??
RSX type S 19 mm rear sway bar ??
the other day i was driving and felt that my car kinda rolled abit while making a corner kinda fast...and after going over coupe of bumpy road i heard this clinking or bumping noise in my rear passenger side....so i took it to the shop and raised it up and i founded that my enlink broke off of my rear sway bar. i have no idea how that happened...so i found this guy that is willing to sell me his RSX-type S rear sway with the enlinks....and i looked at the pics on the RSX and the endlink looks kinda different from my 2003 si-Canadian or EX- US coupe. i ws just wondering is it a direct fit or will i have to do some modifications?? Has anybody done this on their cars yet ?? plz let me know that noise is starting to drive me nuts !!! thanx

Stock Civic endlinks will work with the RSX rear sway...As for the RSX ones they SHOULD fit. If not, new Civic endlinks will be like 20 bones from your nearest dealer.

One more thing, you BROKE OFF the endlinks with the 13mm sway bar??? I've actually never heard of that happening. Good luck on getting your rsx sway, best bang for the buck mod for sure.
coolio...yea i was shocked. the endlink is still attached to the car as the bottom but at the top of the endlink is detached from the sway bar !!! how hard is it to put the rsx -s sway bar on ?? difficult or can it be done at home in my garage ??

Jack up the rear and do it yourself in the garage - I wrote a hilarious story about mine. You don't even really have to remove the wheels (but it helps). Holla at me if you need help.

The rsx bar is 19mm and makes the front end very stable in turns, even on a stock car.

Grey's endlinks are expensive but they're suppose to very very solid.

Well i think its a good question..I have a 2005 and putting on the type S rear sway will do what????
I guess i would only fell it in the corners.
After reading alot about it it seems like a great mod to do...

I highly recommend the RSX-S bar. Best mod yet!

actually it should make the rear end more Unstable (its allready overly stable thanks to the extream ammount of understeer the car has stock) The point of a larger rear bar is to allow the nose of the car to bite in better, reducing understeer.

its not.. not atleast in stock form, thanks to spring rates and such. (Remember the RSX also has a 23mm front bar).
Heres a lil' anti-rollbar theroy 101.
Tuning handling:
if the car is understeering either increase the effectiveness (Bigger) of the rear bar, or decrease the effectiveness (Smaller) of the front bar. If the car is oversteering Do the opposite. Note that this is in regards to mid phase cornering, and corner entry or exit understeer/oversteer has more to do with driver and damper settings.
Okay, well here's the scoop. I have a 2002 LX and I have the stock on on there now. I am doing an EX Exhaust Conversion here in the next two weeks. I am going to go get a front EX sway bar from a 2001 (i hear is bigger then the i have now.) on Sunday. I was thinking of getting the RSX-S rear sway bar and i think i'll need to get the bushings for it if it doesn't come with them.
So how do you know if your understeering or oversteering??

Well, 1st tip. Both the 2001 and 2002 Coups (EX or LX) have the same 25.4mm front anti-roll bar. There was some difference between the Sedans and Coupes though (2002 LX/EX sedans had a 22.2mm front anti-roll bar). So for better handling, you may want to opt for the smaller front bar. (Bigger is not allways better) The 19mm rear bar would be a nice addition, You may want to look at the 05+ RSX rear bar, as its a 21mm.
