acura rsx aluminum shift ****
does anyone here use the oem acura aluminum shift ****? I use it and the boot adapter seems to look ugly and following directions didnt work because directions wasnt right. The instructions was very off so I had to make it fit on my own and dont know if its on right. So I was asking for anyone using the aluminum shift **** how did you install it. Mine fits but it looks kinda ugly with the black peice that covers the lever.
some pix or some words of advice would be nice thanks!

ok wtf did you do to the adapter? Did you cut that thing? Basically youre suppsed that have the adapter hold the boot up which is why the boot ring is there. Then the nut should go on top of the adapter so the shift **** can seat correttly. If you think that the adapter looks too ugly, IMO it is, and makes the **** sit too high you basically need to put something to hold the boot up like electrical tape, a spring, etc. so that you dont need the adapter or nut anymore. I have mine snug up against the boot ring.

the shift **** isnt sitting too high. This is how the instructions told me to install the damn boot adapter except that the boot ring should be turned around but many people leave the leathery pattern side up because if I turn the boot adapter around, it wont fit for some reason(the instructions said this). So I had to turn it around to make it fit. Btw this is without zip tying the boot to the adapter. Im going to zip tie the shift boot to the adapter. IMO I think have no adapter looks uglier. if you have pix please post.

lol then if you got instructions with yours will you agree with me that the instructions were way off? I remember one of the steps stating that the black leathery side should go on the bottom. LOL!!! damn acura peepsz
edit: gonna put the wire tie on soon then if it was the right way. I was just making sure before I would have to rip apart the console. Not that its hard anyways.
