Tokico HP Review

After 54,000 miles my stock shocks were lifeless.
Yesterday I had the Tokico HP's with my stock springs installed.
The results are super positive.

When I first left the shop I couldn't feel much difference from stock. But, after really testing it on some freeway, street, and canyon roads... I'm certain I'm driving a much, much better handling car. I feel much safer, the suspension has a lot left "in reserve". I'm no longer worried about the suspension bottoming out. The car has much better balance/composure on bumpy pavement. The car no longer sways back and forth when I brake or accelerate.

The other good news is my girlfriend says the ride is less bouncy and I agree. The ride comfort is very similar to stock, I still feel the same bumps in the road. Maybe it is slightly firmer riding then the stock shocks, but my stock shocks were bordering on unsafe because they were so soft after 50,000+ miles.

Update After 1 week:
The ride is slightly better after one week, the shocks have softened up a little bit. I'm really happy with the Tokico's and there is no chance in hell I'd go back to stock shocks. The performance improvements are nothing short of amazing. I can't wait to get some good tires on this car. If you're worried about comfort but want better performance...look no futher, these Tokico's kick ***.

BTW: I had these installed by Showstoppers in Glendale, CA. They did a good job and their price was $408 cheaper then what the dealer wanted for installation.

I am lowered with them about 2". I love them as well. Much much firmer than stock. I love the smooth roads, but I hate bumpy pothole hell roads. Much tighter steering (I lowered at the same time though, so not sure what did it), not much roll when turning at all, very nice compared to stock. I have the HPs as well
