How much does it cost to install coilovers?

Awhile back I decided to go cheap and get a box of Dropzone coilovers.. which in turn my mechanic laughed at me and told me to get something worth putting on.. (I got Ground Controls instead) but he says itll cost $500. Seems a bit overpriced but maybe I'm wrong..I have no basis for comparison..

How much did it cost you guys to put on coilovers/springs etc.?

ACURAwerx is on a distinguished road
maybe he is including installation? installation should be around 200 bux give or take.. 50 bux per corner is a general rule i guess? at least around here, still overpriced non the less

ground control makes 2 sets of coilovers for our civic. one set is meant to go with koni yellows while the other set is meant to go with stock shocks. so make sure you got that checked..
as for pricing, GC's go for $250-$350 at most and labor should be around the 200 area for a good job. dropzone coilovers are garbage and let that be a lesson learned (being cheap doesnt cut it). search search search and search about any product before buying it.
$200 cash in hand? that person better do a damn good job lol. might as well let the pros do it cause if they **** up, they pay for the damages done while if u have a local, im damn sure he or she will not help pay for the damages to your car if they attemped to install coilovers.

I would say that it would be as much as it would be to install springs. Still have to take the strut tower off the car and take it apart, and replace it back into the car. Depends on who you know, I know a place for $50 but thats here in So Cal. Or you could DIY it and pay $0.

I did it by myself. Had all the tools but a tie rod separator. Took about 9 hours...LOL, but I got it done. I had no experience whatsoever
