hey you guys, need opinion fast

what do you know about earl scheib paint and collision? for everyone whose seen my car im sure you noticed the two tone nastiness on my right foor and upper panel and rear panel. i need to get that painted asap. they have decent prices, and they offer some uv protectant, top coat, and a 6 year warranty on their paint service. anyone deal with them? and my mom wont let me paint the car black and i dont want silver, if you guys could give me another color option that might look good. but regardless, think they do a good job? let me know guys. thanks.

with paint you get what you pay for trust me,but i do know a shop in corona that has been recommened by some of the higher priced ones out here they do real good work, when i was gonna get my teg painted they wanted 900 that was with body work,if you want a short term problem solver go with shieb but if you want quality then you are gonna have to pay more

there were two options there, one was the 900,the other 2000ish,he showed me a car of each on the 2000ish one was alot shinnyier(is that word?)but they other still looked very nice, they do alot of older cars there, like mustangs, old ford trucks, novas, but they are pretty cool guys

Thumbs down

^^no on earl scheib man...trust me. i had earl scheib do my truck for cheap because i shaved my whole truck when i had it and everything was primered. it looks okay, but the quality is cheap. i only had the truck like 2 months w/the paint because i sold it. it held up ok, but if you dig your fingernail in hard enough, you could scratch the paint.

also, my friend painted his '00 civic a silver from earl scheib because he didn't like his black. after about 6 months paint started chipping off, and started to reveal the old color black. he has since painted it white because he got sick of the color and because it was flaking so bad.

haha, when you looked at my friend's paintjob, you couldn't even see much of a shine at all. you know when you look at some cars and you can see yourself in the paint???...yeah earl scheib can't give you that look, no matter how much wax and buffing you do. do what you want, it won't be horrible by any means, but you will probably in the end be regretting that you didn't save up a little bit more to have it done right.
-sorry so long of a post

You might as well buy spray paint and do it yourself

oem is good. I had maaco do mine since my dads friend owns it. He charged 1300, and my paint SUCKS! I keep it at a very very high shine with how much I wash/wax it. But I have a bubble coming up near my drivers side rear window. It is like an inch long, and the paint is missing from half of it. Get a good one definately. I might get a cust om paint job soon, something that goes with chrome, so a very shiny high priced paint job. I was wondering about earl scheib as well, good info people, thanks!
