Not just a resistor tell me what you know

This was on Ebay, and if there was already a post on this im sorry i kinda looked but not through all million that came up. Anyway this is not just a resistor like the ones i saw post about this looks different.

It is a resistor

It is basically a resistor if it is going off your coolent temperature. It is trying to fool the computer to think it is very cold to fatten up or richen the mixture. We played with this kind of stuff on our ASA stock car motors (sealed LS1 engines) and it basically did nothing to them on the dyno.
