Not lowered much
i recently purchased the TEIN S. Techs and after i had them installed, it doesn't appear that there is much change in ride height! The rear looks lower because i have a pretty massive subwoofer box in my trunk! They were supposed to drop 1.0"! I measured the distance from the center cap of the wheel to the bottom of the fender and called TEIN and told them if it was supposed to be that high! They said that my measurment is exactly where the new springs are supposed to sit!
They said it might be the profile of my tire! I have 40/17's! I dont want to go to a higher profile cuz it will make the rim look smaller! Has anyone with 205/40 17's with a 1 inch drop had a similar problem after they lowered their car? I don't want to buy new springs but im wondering if anyone has found a way around this so to speak!
i have tein s.techs too. when i first installed them they didnt look dropped at all. but they settled very nice after a few days...

I have the S-tech's and I'm still 4X4. I think it's because I have 215/40/17 and no weight in the rear. It could also be the fact that I didn't trim the bump stop which I think I was supposed to do. Waiting for the Omni's to come out.

yeah i guess thats they way these springs are made! It just seemed pointless when i was shopping for suspension componets to spend 7 to 1G on coilovers when Im just driving from home to school to work and back home!

^some people live in areas with harsh roads (snow, flooding, etc). while wanting to keep a mild drop inbetween the safe and low zone.
tein s-techs need to settle. i heard they were meant to go with the stock shocks so cant expect too much eh?

That's what I did with the prokit, but now I only have 1-2 finger gap so it's pretty low. Maybe if you let them settle it'll be lower.
Yes, it's an Acura EL

Springs typically settle over months, with the most significant drop within the first month. My EL was still settling on the H&R's after 6 months....the rears blew shortly after, lol.
