Driving without a licence

In in Alemeda County (hayward), in California. okay, so my room mate got caught driving without his licence. His drivers test was like 3 days later. He got his licence and turned 18. Now his court date is Feb 7 or something. He was 17 when he got the ticket but is 18 now. Two questions, One: Since he's 18 NOW, does he still have to bring a parent to court? Two: Does he have to bring the ticket to court? he cant find it and he needs to know.

Thanks ALOT!

i believe the answers to these questions are no...A parent must be with you if you are a minor; since he is 18 he can go on his own. However, it doesnt matter at least in my case. When i went to court, i went without my parents and the judge did not say anything. As far as the losing the ticket, you dont need it. The judge has a copy.

i dunno if i am right, but check me on that

Do his parents even know about the ticket? He should call the court if he has questions.

He shouldnt have to bring it with him...the court has a copy of it already
