Rep Power: 0 hondas are tough man. my brothers ex back in like 1990 had an old civic, and she drove from CALIFORNIA all the way to here in OHIO with the oil light on. when she pulled in the driveway, they opened the hood and smoke jsut poured out. thats why my dad will really only buy and trusts hondas.

the bad part about starts that are that cold is that the oil is really thick and doesnt flow very well. I remember last winter i had my 94 s-10 blazer and when i would start that thing up on 1 degree mornings, i would hear the pistons moving without any lube. it sucked. try to run the thinnest oil u can...especially in a little 4 banger.
i think mobile make like 0w-15 or something like that.

Rep Power: 377 I had one night here so far that I started my S2000 in snow/ice and -20F degree weather. With the wind chill it was -36F.
She started up for me after the starter turned over twice.

Rep Power: 0 Mmm, I'm from the same place as you, yeah, it was -45oC here w. windchill last night. But cars don't feel windchill, the absolute temperature was still -35oC or something like that, windchill is just more of a measure of the speed at which warm things lose heat, its not actually any colder.
I've had my Civic, my present Mazda 3 and a VW Golf (1997) all start in below minus 30 degrees Celsius, any new-ish engine shouldn't have any problems doing it, it might crank for a while and sound pissed off after it starts, but it'll start.
