Honestly, be original. Get something different. Motegis are super-heavy anyway.

I have (or had) a set of Motegi MR7's 17". They are okay if you just want you car to look a little nicer or handle a little better, but if you are looking for all out performance, go with something else, they are extremely heavy, but very stury. Where I live pot holes are every where and you simply can not avoid them, so I always want a rim that can with stand a pounding and the MR7's did. But if you think you can a deal, you can probably find a set on here cheap. I am in the process of selling mine for 350+ shipping, and that includes a tires.
If you do go with motegi MR7, don't forget the center ring, but I have found nicer rims on here for dirt cheap, boilermaker was selling a couple of really nice sets for sale at very reasonable prices, I'm not sure if they are gone though.

I am actually more concerned with durability. I commute 80 miles a day, so that is definitely a factor. I am looking at the FF7 in Hyperblack. I get a killer deal, obviously due to job connections. It is good to here that they are durable. Thanks guys!!

The fact that they're sold at sears should tell you enough. If it doesn't, the general consensus is that they're durable, but they're durable because they just keep packing on material until they're strong enough rather than trying to optomize the design into something light and strong. As a result, they're very heavy.

I'm shipping my rims tires out, and with a tire and balancing wieghts they wiegh almost 45 lbs each!!! For reference, the stock rim and tire (15" alloy EX) are about 38 lbs.
If boilermaker still has his Si rims, I would go with those, they might be a tad more, but they forged which will be stronger than the Motegi and far lighter.

Try quality brands instead of complete knockoff garbage.
Enkei, Konig, OZ, 5Zigen, BBS, Rays, Kosei, hell even Rota beats that junk despite being copies.

I'm sure some of you will disagree, but I'm pretty happy with my Tenzo-R wheels that I've got. They've been pretty beat on and have lasted me pretty damned well.

I like Volk and spoon too, but amost people in the market for rims are not looking to spend 300+ per a rim, they are going to go for the cheap rip off because they don't need that level of performance. Putting spoon rims on my civic is like giving Rolex to a redneck.

Well Konig kinda has 2 distinct categories within the line. The more blingy ones, which I personally don't care for, but no one seems to have had issue with, and the more lightweight ones, like the Holes, which I've seen frequently around the AutoX crowd, no one has complaints. The vast majority of Konigs wheels are designed in house. Some are copies or close representations, but they're no different than rotas. The only one I know of with problems was the Helium (since discontinued), some of them were too brittle and they cracked.... but the incidents of that I'm aware of are very few. There's nothing wrong with Konig wheels.

For size: The diameter of that tire is 22.5 inchs (www.teamtoyo.com), the standard for our car 24.5. So these tires are about 2 inchs smaller than stock. This will lowwer your car about an inch and is also known as "the poor man speed trick," becasue you will effectivly lowwer your final drive ratio and make you your gears smaller and thus making your car quicker. However, you notice a drop MPG due to the extra revs/mile and your speedometer will be off by 2 MPH for every 10 MPH (so if the speedo says 50, you'll actually be closser to 40) and your odometer (important for lease stuff) will be off. The above stuff with the odometer and spedometer can be fixed at any Honda dealer (they just reflash the computer with the specs). However if your car is lowwered or you plan on lowwering your car, the 1 inch drop from the tire is going to be dangerously low for daily street driving.

OK, Motegi FF7 or DP6 in 18x7.5......that is the question. I commute with the car, and am not concerned with the weight as much as some of you. BTW, I like the hyper black finish....
