Also on an 18 inch rim you are going to have to have basically a rubberband on for your tire, this is going to lead to a very hash ride and premature ware on you struts. I would highly recommend going down a tad, the largest I would put on a daily drive civic is 17x7 with a 205/45 17 tire.
I am running 215/45R17 right now, with no problem. 18's in a 215/40R18 will be no problem. Done it on many customers cars. I do truly appreciate all info you have given me. There is a lot of useful info on here.

I had the same size, but some poeple on here claim that the 215 becomes a problem when the car is drastically lowwered. My car was stock, so it never had a problem either. However chance are you have a 7 inch wide rim, if you put the same tire on a 7.5 inch rim, you will be moving the rim .5" more out, long story short, if you are going to go with a 7.5 inch rim, make sure you have a offset of about 40 mm. you may even need to go to a 42-43mm offset, better do some searching before you check that out.

So you're bring it in 10mm (OEM offset is 35), so as long as you're not hitting the suspension.

I ran a 7 inch with a 40mm, you are going 5 mm in and .5"-5mm further out, that is 12mm - 5mm which was 7.5mm further out. 7.5mm isn't that much more, so you sholdn't have a problem, I think, as long as your springs don't hit, but since you've done it before, I guess they don't hit. So iguess that would be okay, but I would still be caustous about that set up.

Talking

Still debating between the Motegi FF7 or DP6, want to order this week for sure. Not sure about tire size, I might try 22540R18 to see if they will fit or not after I put the springs and struts on.

Good luck with the 225, I've seen many people on here waste lots of money on 225's jus to have them hit their fender after they lowwer their car. Then they have to buy new tires and fenders.

You might be able to pull it off, if you go to a higher offset like 50mm and a smaller spring, but that's just a fitment issue (check to make sure the srping don't hit the tire). By pulling the tires in that much you will have changed the suspension geometery making your cars quite "darty" and you will have a very tail happy civic. SO in the end you will not have the handling people with 205's on stock rims will have and you've spent a ton of money on these.

I am only going to lower about 1" with an Eibach Prokit. Maybe 215 is the way to go.

Damn, seriously? I almost bought König Heliums but I went with Rota Slipstreams instead.
