Exclamation Help with gauge cluster!!!! Speedometer is reading wrong

I bought a new gauge cluster and I was checking the mileage on it. After I took out my old gauge cluster, some little screw came out next to the 0 on the speedometer. Now the needle is pointing all the way on the bottom. On top of that, the screw doesnt stay in if i put it back I cant even use my new gauge cluster because the miles on it are wrong by 30,000. So, how do I fix my speedometer and get the screw back in?

Screw? Do you mean the plastic stop piece that fits where the zero is? It just sorta snaps into place. And yeah all clusters will have different mileage when you swap. If you don't care about selling the car, just keep the new cluster and make a note of when you switched it.

the dealer when they do the oil change will notice it
and they can put a sticker regarding the gauge swap for you in the drivers side door jam.
They will note what the milage at the time of the swap and what the difference is with the new gauges.

Yep, I know abou the mileage already, I was just checking how many miles were on the cluster. You never know if you will sell the car or not (I'm eying the new i-vtec civics in 2006 ) When I was putting my old gauge cluster back in, I noticed that the little plastic stopper had fallen out and my speedometer needle was on the 20mph. It fell out every time I put it in. How do I fix my calibration on the needle?

calibration is set when you plug in the connectors on the cluster. Just make sure when you get that piece on that the nedles are at resting position. Then plug in the green and blue connectors.
