I need some help guys *stuck at work right now*

and my car won't start, i think it's the immobilizer... it won't recognize my keys or something, because it can crank up the car but it won't start it. There are also no lights on the gas, seatbelt, and oil in the cluster. I'm pretty sure it's the immobilizer, but I don't know what to do right, please help me out guys, I can't go home until this is fix.

Does the green key light flash as you're turning the key? That means it doesn't recognise the key. Check to make sure the battery connectors are tight and every accessory is off. Make sure car is in park (auto) or in neutral. Turn the key to ON position and see if the lights come on. Then crank it. It may be a dead battery if there's no power at all even for the cluster. If it's the immobilizer, try to wipe off the key and make sure there's no fuzz in the ignition.

My battery is still ok, it's the immobilizer. I just searched this problem and in one of the threads, someone said, "it could be other keys in your keychain". So, I went out there and tried to start using only the key to the car and it cranked up. I hope this won't happen again. I've had this car for almost 5 years now and i've never had any problems with it. Now it's trying to give me crap... tsk tsk tsk !

BTW: Thanks gearbox !

damn man, i was just driving home a few minutes ago and my car just stopped working..... WHILE I WAS DRIVING, the darn thing just locked up and kept on going straight, i had to struggle turning the steering wheels w/o the powersteering. Got on the side of the rd. took out the key chain and it started right back. I think i will bring my car to the dealership as soon as I have some money, this is very dangerous.

do you have other IMMOBILIZER keys on the chain? You should only have one.
