Hey guys my gf just informed me that she bought a car with out me

first off im pissed because she didn't take me. she KNEW how much i wanted to go with her so something like this wouldn't happen. She went with her mom, her female cousin (20 yrs old) and her 9 yr old sister. Im not trying to be sexist or anything of the nature -but when buying a car salesmen *for the most part* try take advantage of women, right? like give them the run around and what not

anyways - she ended up with an 04 civic VP - a VP!?

its stick, no power windows, no extras, just the bottom of the line civic.

do you think 14,300 is a good price including tax, reg. and everything? she's "not sure how much she paid" before tax - at least thats what she told me.

I dunno I think she got ripped off. MSRP is 13,500 add some tax and stuff you get the 14,300. She basically paid MSRP. Everyone knows that MSRP is a rip off.

I dunno the more I look into it the more I need to know. Did she get a sedan or a coupe? I think if she got an 04 she got ripped no matter what. She could have gotten an 05 for the same price.

but fvck! a damn VP!? no power windows/doors. what would be wrong with an 02 EX? probably similar in price?

and you guys know what....last time we test drove an 04 dx and she complained because it had no "get up and go" so we took out an ex and she liked it a LOT more. i've never driven anything except an EX but she said she could feel the diff... and NOW she ends up with a VP

now now, we're getting off topic here!! haha - but for reals would this make anybody else mad?

1. having your long, long time girlfriend go buy a car without you when she KNOWS you want to be there.
2. buying a STICK - when for 3 months you've been showing her plenty of cars but them being rejected JUST because its stick
3. telling me its my fault for not being if i wanted to be there (im at work i have a set schedule, she knew i couldn't be there!)

btw - im still confused - did she get a good deal even though its a fvckin VP

Tow hours ago, I walked off the lot with brand spanking new 2005 LX 5 spd for $14,700. Included pin-striping, mud flaps and trunk tray.

I know that doesn't make you feel any better, but maybe she'll know better next time.

it took some bargining and i paid in cash but i guess its where you go because for the same car a few miles away they were selling it for 18. ooo well what can u do right?

i got my 02 lx 4 dr auto back when the 03's were fixen to come out and it also had a cd player put in, plus the spoiler, and a few other things for like 14,200 and the autos are like almost a 1000 more than the standards. but now that i look at it... i shoulda got a 5 spd ex and it would of been about the same but it's alright.

rip off...i got my 04 lx 5spd for 14000 with a 2000 trade in it was only 12000 for an 04 LX...she shoulda gotten a vp for around 12000 out the door

she could have gotten a better deal than that, especially if the year is almost over. Car dealerships usually want to lower their inventory of cars before the year ends for special purposes. With an '04 she could have gotten a below invoice deal whatever that was. Personally i think she could have gotten an LX for what she paid, and i dunno if they have this in the area where she bought the car, but supposingly there's an incentive for '04 vehicles still. It's for manufacturer to dealer though. So if that's the case, they banked big time

I bought a 03 LX in june 2003 for 13,000(price includes tax tags and freight)
And they threw in some floor mats.

She may have got ripped a lil.
